Dmitry Ganin: Russian Poker Series Closer to EPT Than RPT
Dmitry Ganin, the tournament director for the Russian Poker Tour (RPT), has shared insights into the upcoming Russian Poker Series (RPS), organized by himself and PokerStars. The RPS aims to be closer to the European Poker Tour (EPT) in structure and organization.
RPS Structure and Schedule
The Russian Poker Series (RPS) will have a full schedule of tournaments for the year, with a Grand Final in December in Kyiv. The structure of the main tournament in RPS is similar to that of the European Poker Tour (EPT), with a few exceptions. The first day's structure is identical, but from the second day, the levels in EPT last 75 minutes, while in RPS, they remain at 60 minutes.
Dmitry Ganin's Poker Career
Dmitry Ganin started his poker career as a dealer and worked his way up to tournament director. He was invited to RPT by Erik Shahbazyan and organized the first independent tournament in Saint Petersburg. His experience and knowledge have been instrumental in the success of RPT and the upcoming RPS.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
