Dmitriy Yurasov's Epic Journey at the World Series of Poker
The Big 50 tournament had a $500 buy-in and a $1,000,000 guarantee for the first place. The last flight 1D of the Big 50 tournament had 9,171 entries.
Anatoly Zyrin spent 8 hours and 20 minutes in line to get to the table. This was a remarkable feat, as he stood in line for 33 times longer than he actually played at the table.
Dmitriy Yurasov made it to the final table of the $50,000 high roller tournament. He finished the second day with the second-largest stack of 4,800,000 chips. Dmitriy Yurasov became the chip leader with 6,000,000 chips but lost half of his chips in a hand against Andrew Lichtenberger. Despite this setback, he finished the tournament in 6th place with 3,660,000 chips.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
