David Peters Finishes as Runner-Up in WPT WOC Main Event

David Peters was the most famous player and the main contender for the victory. He reached the final table of the Main Event (ME) of the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Online Championship (WOC) and was the most well-known player. João Paulo left the final table in ninth place. Rodrigo Sirechek left the final table in eighth place, earning $98,000.

David Peters and Rock Gochista reached the heads-up stage. Both players decided to fight for the main prize instead of splitting the winnings. At the start of the heads-up, Peters had 60 big blinds, while Gochista had 108 big blinds. After an hour, on a flop of 4-5-6, Peters went all-in with 6-6, and Gochista called with 10-10. On the river, a ten appeared, and Gochista became the winner of the event.

Rock Gochista won the event with a prize of $960,000. Gochista is no stranger to winning large prizes, and his name is often seen in high roller events on GGpokerok and PartyPoker.
