WSOP 2020: Daniel Negreanu Bets $1 Million on Winning a Bracelet
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) will be held online this year, with 85 bracelets up for grabs. The event will be hosted by GGNetwork, where Americans are not allowed, and WSOP.com, which is restricted to residents of Las Vegas and New Jersey.
Daniel Negreanu, a renowned poker player, has offered to bet $1 million that he will win a WSOP bracelet in 2020. His bet includes online stages on GGPoker and WSOP.com, as well as the traditional WSOP if it takes place in the fall. Negreanu's last WSOP bracelet win was in 2013.
Negreanu's bet has garnered significant attention and responses from the poker community. Some players, like Ali Imisirovic and Daniel Dvoress, have accepted parts of the bet, while others have expressed skepticism. The poker community is divided on the value and prestige of online WSOP bracelets, with some arguing that the increase in the number of bracelets devalues the achievement.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
