Daniel Dvoress Wins Seventh Triton Poker Title in Jeju
Daniel Dvoress won the $30,000 no-limit hold’em eight-max event at the Triton Jeju II, earning $942,000 and 924 Card Player Player of the Year points for the win. This victory marks his seventh Triton Poker title, bringing his total to seven titles from 11 final-table finishes on the year.
Dvoress now trails tenth-ranked Daniel Negreanu by just over $592,000 in career cashes. He held the chip lead when the official final table was set and eliminated several notable players, including Benjamin Tollerene, Lun Loon, Jingyao Yan, and Stephen Chidwick.
In the final showdown, Dvoress faced off against Xuan Liu, marking the second time the two Canadians have squared off for a Triton title. Dvoress needed only a single hand to close out the win, with the chips going in preflop with 3♠3♣ for Dvoress and K♥Q♠ for Liu. The board ran out J♥4♦2♣A♠5♥ to give Dvoress the wheel and the pot. Liu settled for $638,000 as the runner-up.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
