Daniel Colpoys Wins PokerGO Cup Opener for $200,200
Daniel Colpoys won the opening event of the 2022 PokerGO Cup, pocketing $200,200. The first event of the 2022 PokerGO Cup was a $10k buy-in affair with 77 entries. Poker luminaries including Ali Imsirovic, Alex Foxen, Bryn Kenney, Stephen Chidwick, and Daniel Negreanu did not make it to the 11 paid spots. The money bubble burst by a typical race, won by Darren Elias.
The first day of the two-day tournament ended when Shannon Shorr ran his pocket nines into Colpoys’ jacks. Colpoys’ pocket jacks held up, KOing Michael Lang in 6th spot. Colpoys sent both Matthew Wantman and Elias to the rail, leaving himself heads-up against Lichtenberger.
Colpoys: 9♥ 9♦ Lichtenberger: A♣ 4♣. Colpoys won the final hand against Andrew Lichtenberger.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
