CallenX Retires from Poker After 5 Years of High-Stakes Online Play
CallenX, a prominent poker player, has announced his retirement from the game after achieving his goal of winning a significant amount of money in just 5 years. This decision comes after a rigorous schedule that involved living in Canada for extended periods and returning to the US for short breaks.
CallenX started his online poker journey in 2005, primarily focusing on HU PLO (Heads-Up Pot Limit Omaha). His daily routine involved spending about 10 hours at the computer, with only 2 to 5 hours dedicated to actual gameplay. The rest of the time was spent waiting for opponents, watching series, reading, and surfing the internet.
Looking ahead, CallenX plans to spend his time on hobbies like snowboarding, biking, and surfing, aiming for a more balanced life without the constant pressure of high-stakes poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
