Bellagio's Bobby's Room Renamed to Legends Room
The Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas has renamed its high-stakes poker area from Bobby's Room to Legends Room. This change comes as Bobby Baldwin, the namesake of the room, takes on a new role at a rival casino. Bobby Baldwin took up the role at The Drew Las Vegas in November 2019 after a long stint as Chief Customer Development Officer of MGM Resorts and CEO and President of CityCenter.
Bobby's Room is where the likes of Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, and Dan Jungleman Cates go to battle. Recently there was a $2,500-$5,000 big bet mixed game being played on a regular basis.
Before the poker boom started in 2003, the regular get together in Bobby's Room was known as The Big Game. Bobby's Room was also the venue for the challenge match against billionaire banker Andy Beal. Names such as Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Jennifer Harman, Johnny Chan, Barry Greenstein and Phil Ivey all played stakes up to $100,000/$200,000 with swings in excess of $15 million.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
