Barry Greenstein: Poker Legend Shares Insights and Experiences
Barry Greenstein, a seasoned poker player, shares his experiences and insights about the game. Greenstein plays mixed games in Los Angeles, including Badugi, 2-7, Omaha-8, and Big Bet games.
Greenstein mentions that many unknown regular players earn more than famous tournament players. He has a successful WSOP series, making 13 cashes and four deep runs, but lost key hands in the final stages.
Greenstein was born in 1954 in Chicago and had a happy childhood until he was 17. He started playing poker at 19 and had to choose between education and poker. Greenstein avoided playing in Vegas after a dispute over a rigged game at the StarDust casino. He worked at Symantec for 7 years, dedicating himself fully to both work and poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
