Arthur's 20-Year Journey in the Poker Industry: From Dealer to Business Owner

Arthur has been involved in the poker industry for 20 years, starting in 1998. He began his career after hearing that working in a casino was a fun and exciting environment. Arthur's first job in a poker club was with Jeff Lisandro, who was developing poker in Russia at the time.

Arthur's first tournament was held at the Shangri-La casino on Tverskaya Street. He opened the Poker Club Macao in 2004, which was one of the largest poker clubs in Moscow. Arthur decided not to pursue a career as a poker player because he found it too challenging and instead focused on organizing tournaments.

In 2006, Arthur founded Poker Club Management (PCM) with Tony Power. Their company started in the Asia casino, which was half-empty when they arrived. Arthur and his team quickly filled the casino and turned it into a successful poker venue. Arthur's journey in the poker industry has been marked by his dedication to the game and his ability to build successful businesses.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
