Arizona Sees Record Number of Gamblers Seeking Self-Exclusion
The Arizona Department of Gaming has launched a new program to aid problem gamblers, seeing a record 651 new sign-ups. The self-exclusion periods range from one to ten years. The program offers free financial counseling to help individuals manage their debt and set up a spending plan.
Elise Mikkelsen, Director of the Division of Problem Gambling, emphasized that self-exclusion is just the first step in recovery. The program is confidential and non-judgmental, aiming to break the stigma around seeking help for gambling addiction.
The program is part of a long-term recovery path that wants to assist recovering gamblers and help them make the correct decisions as they seek to get their life back on track.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
