Anatoly Zyrin Folds Nut Flush in High-Stakes Poker Tournament

Anatoly Zyrin participated in a high-stakes tournament with a buy-in of 245,000 rubles at WPT DeepStacks in Sochi. The event attracted 97 entries, with 13 players making it into the money. Zyrin, however, did not make it into the prize zone. During one of the hands, Zyrin folded a nut flush, which sparked discussion among poker enthusiasts.

In the hand, Anatoly Zyrin limped in first position, and four other players followed. The flop was 9♣️-4♣️-7♠️, and all players checked. On the turn J♣️, Artur Adamyan made a 7,000 rubles bet from the small blind, and Zyrin called. The river brought K♣️, and Artur checked. Zyrin then bet 7,500 rubles into a pot of 26,000 rubles, leaving him 23,000 rubles in his stack. In response, Artur went all-in, and Zyrin folded his A♣️ (nut flush). After the hand, Artur showed his cards: Q♣️-7♣️.

Poker fans are now debating whether Zyrin made the right decision to fold his nut flush in that situation. The hand has become a topic of discussion, with many players and analysts weighing in on the strategic move.
