2015 WSOP: Highlights from the First 15 Tournaments
The 2015 World Series of Poker (WSOP) began with a bang, featuring a no-limit hold'em event with a $5,000 buy-in as the second tournament. This event attracted 422 participants, setting the stage for intense competition.
Among the finalists were notable players Greg Merson, Amir Lehavot, and Brin Kenney. Michael Wang emerged victorious, defeating Brin Kenney in a crucial heads-up hand. Wang, a 26-year-old graduate of Lehigh University, has been playing poker for about six years and celebrated his win with an emotional tweet.
The third tournament was a limit hold'em high-low event with a $1,500 buy-in, won by Robert Mizrachi. Mizrachi, from the famous poker family, faced off against Jacob Dal in the heads-up round. Despite starting with a smaller stack, Mizrachi's strategic play led to a decisive victory. This win added to his collection, making it three WSOP bracelets for both him and his brother.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
