Hands and boards
Dry board in poker
Definition
A board with few possible draws, usually unconnected cards of different suits, such as K♠7♦2♣.
On a dry board the best hand at the flop usually stays best, so players c-bet small and often, and hands that hit tend to be easy to read. Sets and top pairs are strong.
It is the opposite of a wet board, where flush and straight draws change who is ahead and big bets are common.
