Flush draw in poker
Definition
Four cards to a flush, needing one more card of the same suit; it has nine outs.
After the flop a flush draw has 9 outs, which is about 35% to hit by the river and about 19.6% to hit on the next card. Nuts flush draws (with the ace of the suit) are especially valuable.
A flush draw can be played aggressively as a semi-bluff, but beware of drawing to a non-nut flush when the board is paired or when another suit draws also exist.
Example
With A♥9♥ on a flop of K♥7♥2♣ you have the nut flush draw: any of the nine remaining hearts completes it.
