The Tragic Tale of Poker Pro Yukon Brad Booth: From Fame to Disappearance
Brad Booth, known as Yukon Brad, had a meteoric rise in the poker world, but his career was marred by a series of unfortunate events and poor decisions. Booth adopted the nickname Yukon Brad after moving to remote Canada following his mother's death. He stayed in these remote areas for almost a decade, traveling and playing poker along the way.
Booth's poker career took a turn for the worse when he lost approximately $4.2 million playing online poker between 2007 and 2012. He was also involved in the Ultimate Bet cheating scandal, where software was used to relay hole-card information. Booth was supposed to receive a payout from the company but never received anything more after Black Friday.
Booth's financial troubles deepened when he borrowed $30,000 from Doug Polk, knowing he couldn't pay it back. He then disappeared, leading to concerns about his whereabouts. In 2022, Booth went missing for about two months, with his family confirming his safety in September.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
