Poker Pro Ye Shen Arrested for Cashing $300K in Bad Checks at Las Vegas Casino
High-stakes poker player Ye Shen was arrested for cashing more than $300,000 worth of bad checks at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Ye Shen faces felony charges of writing a check without sufficient funds and of theft with a value of $100,000 or more. He was booked into Clark County jail but released shortly afterward on his own recognizance. Ye Shen wrote the checks on Dec. 28, 2024.
Ye Shen is known for playing in live-streamed cash games under the moniker “Tony Mars.” He profited almost $521,000 in numerous appearances on Hustler Casino Live in 2022-23. Shen has more than $77,000 in tournament winnings.
Ye Shen was alleged to partake in a Los Angeles home game cheating scandal involving a special UV-marked deck. Other players, including Nikhil Arcot, Wesley Fei, and Charles Yu claimed Shen was part of the scam. Shen denied the allegations, stating that he has never cheated in a game and has always paid when he lost.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
