Wynn Resorts Announces Massive Casino Resort Project in UAE
Wynn Resorts has announced an ambitious project to build a multi-billion-dollar luxury resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The resort will feature a 1000 room hotel, ten restaurants, a convention center, shopping areas, a spa, and a gaming area.
The project is the largest of its type in the hotel industry in the United Arab Emirates. It is projected to positively influence the local economy by creating employment, promoting tourism, and boosting hospitality. The Ras al-Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) announced the creation of a new section dubbed the Department of Entertainment and Gaming Regulation.
The first aim for the new agency will be a regulatory framework that ensures the responsible practice of recreational gaming at all levels. The construction of the Wynn resort will be completed in 2026. Abdulla al-Abdooli, chief executive of Ras al-Khaimah's master-developer Marjan, stated that the integrated development will add to the Emirate's destination strategy to attract tourists from across the world.
