WSOP Moves from ESPN to CBS Sports for Exclusive Coverage
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has signed a multi-year rights agreement with CBS Sports to broadcast the Main Event and select other bracelet events. This move marks a significant shift in the WSOP's television coverage, as it leaves its long-time home on ESPN.
CBS Sports will provide 15 hours of coverage for the Main Event and 36 hours for 18 additional Gold Bracelet events. The partnership will also see coverage across other Viacom CBS platforms, including Paramount+.
The WSOP's Executive Director, Ty Stewart, expressed excitement about the increased television coverage and the growing media platforms of CBS Sports. CBS Sports was the first broadcaster to air the WSOP Main Event in the U.S. during the mid-1970s. CBS Sports' Executive Vice President of Programming, Dan Weinberg, highlighted the strategy to combine best-in-class events with the CBS Sports brand.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
