WSOP.com's Main Event Outdraws GG Poker in Player Entries
The WSOP Main Event had two parts this year. The first part was held on GG Poker, with a final table of nine players to be played at the King's Casino in Rozvadov. The second part was held on WSOP.com, with 705 participants paying a $10,000 buy-in, and a prize pool of $6,768,000. GG Poker had 674 participants in its WSOP Main Event.
The total field of 1,379 players was the smallest in 17 years, but WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart considered it a good result. The final table of WSOP.com will be played at the King's Casino in Rozvadov on December 15, and the final table of GG Poker will be played at the Rio Casino on December 28.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
