WSOP Main Event, day 4: main events
On day 4, the WSOP Main Event broadcast started right from the first level of the day to not miss the bubble. Michael Mizrachi had a stack of 600,000 chips and was fourth at his table, while pro from Michigan Jared Passanante led with a stack of 1,361,000. At the second TV table were Farah Galfond (436,000) and Vanessa Kade (437,000).
Heading into the third table, the headline player was supposed to be Chance Korner with a stack of 50 bb, but before heading to the air he shook his opponent's hand and gathered his things. On the river, Chance Korner bet 42,000 with a flush, Nguyen announced an all-in with a full house, Korner called for 338,000 and lost. On the bubble, parallel hands began: Jack Efell announced action for the whole room, in the first round they showed four all-ins, and all short stacks doubled. Alex Foxen failed to bluff a set on the river – his expensive bluff did not work. The second attempt to burst the bubble included six all-ins; Josh Arye put $100 against $900, that the bubble would not end. The short stack of Stoyan Madanzhiev lost, but he had a chance to get a prize if more than one was eliminated; he was joined by Chris Moneymaker and Kazakh representative Zhaket Seytbekov, and three other short stacks, including Fabian Quoss, doubled their stacks. Two prizes of $15,000 were split among three, so all bubble players got their buy-in back; the next stage became a flip for a ticket to the Bahamas worth $25,000, which Zhaket Seytbekov won.
Gregor Slay made a check-raise on the flop with A9o from the small blind, then a 3-bet 42,000 and a continuation bet, and on the river he shoved all-in 399,000, which Passanante called and lost a big pot. Amateur Jordi Sanchez, in three moves, gathered Erik Lindgren's stack in a limped pot, and Lindgren, after long thinking on the river, eventually called and sent his opponent to the cash. Brian Hastings squeezed two players with aces, Gottlieb quickly called, but Ja declined a weak ace; on the flop Hastings bet 40,000 and Gottlieb folded his cards. Vanessa Kade made a straight and tripled her stack. Farah Galfond lost half her stack due to a second set and finished the day in 722nd place with $25,000. Allen Lee couldn't get two queens against Mizrachi, went all-in and lost; Michael Mizrachi commented: 'Tight is right.' Brian Nguyen raised, and Mizrachi responded with a 3-bet of 54,000, after which Michael jokingly remarked that such a thing cannot happen twice in a row.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
