WSOP, EuroVegas, and bwin.party's Social Media Push
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has kicked off in Las Vegas, with several Spanish players making their mark. Carlos Mortensen and Jesús Cortés both participated in the Event #3 Heads-Up No Limit Hold'em/Pot Limit Omaha. Mortensen was eliminated in the second round, while Cortés was out in the first round.
Mortensen also competed in Event #4 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low but did not advance past the first day.
In other news, bwin.party has made a significant move into the social gaming sector by acquiring Orneon, a Ukrainian company specializing in free mobile games and social media games. The acquisition is valued at around 14 million euros, with bwin.party planning to invest up to 40 million euros in social gaming strategies over the next two years.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
