WSOP Europe 2021: Poker Tournament to Proceed Despite Travel Uncertainty
The World Series of Poker Europe 2021 is scheduled to start on September 30. The event will be held at King’s Resort in the Czech Republic, which is open with few restrictions. The casino requires attendees to prove they’ve either been vaccinated or have COVID-19 antibodies.
The Rio Convention Centre in Las Vegas, the venue for the World Series of Poker, will offer a walk-in service for COVID-19 vaccinations. Over the next two months, the Rio owners want to encourage as many people as possible to take up the offer of a free vaccine before the centre transforms into the greatest spectacle in live poker.
Despite the ongoing pandemic, the WSOP is proceeding as planned. However, the prevalence of the highly-transmissible delta variant has organizers feeling nervous about the potential for sudden shutdowns.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
