WSOP 2015: New Tournaments and Increased Starting Stacks Await Poker Fans

The 46th World Series of Poker (WSOP) will take place in Las Vegas from May 27 to July 14, 2015.

The WSOP 2015 will feature 68 bracelets, 3 more than the previous year, and 11 new tournaments. The $565 Colossus NLHE tournament will have a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000 and will be held on May 29-30. The $1,000 Hyper NLHE tournament will be a two-day event with a fast structure, held on May 31. The $1,500 Extended Play NLHE tournament will have increased levels of 90 minutes each and will be held on June 20.

The $1,000 Super Seniors NLHE tournament will be held on June 21 and is restricted to players aged 65 and above. The $5,000 Turbo NLHE tournament will be a new two-day event held on June 26. The $1,500 DraftKings 50/50 NLHE tournament will have a prize zone of 50% of participants and will be held on June 27. The $25,000 High Roller 8-handed PLO tournament will be a four-day event held on June 29. The $1,500 Bounty NLHE tournament will have a bounty of $500 for each player eliminated and will be held on July 1. The $777 Lucky 7’s NLHE tournament will be held on July 3 with a unique buy-in of $777. The $10,000 Dealers Choice tournament will feature 19 different games, a record for WSOP, and will be held on July 3. An online tournament with a $1,000 buy-in will be held on WSOP.com on July 2 at 12 PM local time, with the final two players meeting in person on July 3.
