WPT and One Drop Foundation Join Forces for Global Charity Efforts
The World Poker Tour (WPT) and the One Drop Foundation have announced a partnership agreement to collaborate on charitable initiatives within the poker community. Both organisations have a strong commitment to philanthropy, with One Drop providing underprivileged communities around the world access to safe drinking water, while the WPT Foundation has raised more than $45 million for various charities.
One Drop Foundation was founded by Guy Laliberte, who also founded Cirque du Soleil. The Canadian-based organisation has long promoted its initiatives through poker, and the community has always stepped up to help raise money for good causes.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) hosted the first ever $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop events in Las Vegas in 2012, 2014, and 2018.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
