WPT Marbella Day 2: Only 'Toni_44444' Remains from Spanish Team

WPT Marbella Day 2 saw a challenging day for the Spanish team, with only Antonio Ruiz 'Toni_44444' remaining. The day started with high hopes, but several key players faced early eliminations.

Raúl Mestre and Emilio Domínguez 'Piokari' both struggled to reach the first break. 'Piokari' had a close call but ultimately couldn't turn his situation around. Antonio Jiménez 'cristobalramero' also had a tough day, being eliminated after a crucial flip did not go his way.

Jorge Coello was eliminated before dinner, and Miguel Ángel Barajas 'Izan' faced a heartbreaking loss. Holding JJ, 'Izan' hit a full house with 8555 but was outdone by an opponent's 88, leaving him just short of the prize money. With these eliminations, Antonio Ruiz 'Toni_44444' stood as the last man standing from the Spanish team. Starting the day short-stacked, 'Toni_44444' strategically stole pots and navigated through changing tables, securing his position. With just over 30 minutes left, he won a flip that guaranteed his spot for the next day. Tomorrow, he aims to avoid the last three eliminations and advance further in the tournament.
