WPT Barcelona: Piokari and MaRLaCa Survive Day 2 Chaos
Eleven representatives from EducaPoker participated in Day 2 of the World Poker Tour National Series Barcelona. The goal was to survive the second day and reach the prize-paying positions. However, the day turned chaotic as players were eliminated one by one.
Notable early eliminations included professors Samy, Darkored, and the captain of the #TeamMestre, Raúl Mestre Sir Donald. Later, classified players from the Barcelona Project, such as casariego and eskalerareal, along with Cum Laude jmarcer and Poker-Red Masters winner tornakko, were also eliminated. The last player from the Barcelona Project, estefanen, was eliminated just before the dinner break.
Only three EducaPoker members remained at the dinner break: MaRLaCa, estefanen, and Piokari. Piokari's performance was particularly impressive, showcasing patience and skill. By the end of the day, only 40 players remained, with the first paying position at 36. Piokari and MaRLaCa secured their spots for Day 3, although their stacks were not healthy. The tournament will resume at 15:00 with blinds starting at 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
