WPT 2013 Schedule Announced: Key Events and Regulatory Actions
The World Poker Tour (WPT) 2013 calendar has been announced, kicking off at the end of January at Borgata and concluding in May at the WPT World Championship in the Bellagio.
The PartyPoker WPT Barcelona will take place from April 5 to 10, with a buy-in of €3,200 + €300. Other notable events include stops in Vienna and Los Angeles.
The Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) is taking action against two online gaming operators suspected of transferring user data from the .com platform to the .es platform. Additionally, the DGOJ plans to target 12 operators who continue to operate without a license in the regulated market, facing potential fines of up to €50 million if they do not cease operations within ten days.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
