World Poker Tour Returns to the Venetian in Las Vegas

The World Poker Tour is returning to Las Vegas from March 5 to 9, 2023. The buy-in for the WPT Venetian Main Event is $5,000 with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,500,000.

The last time WPT held a Main Event in Las Vegas was the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic in 2019. The Venetian's program 'Venetian Clean Commitment' includes over 800 initiatives aimed at enhancing safety and minimizing risks for guests, players, and team members. Players will have to sanitize their hands and wear masks at the tables.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
