Two Russians Win Big at WCOOP Poker Series
In the recent WCOOP poker series, two Russian players, GodIsAnAstronaut and Ti0, made significant wins. GodIsAnAstronaut won the Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo tournament for $320, while Ti0 secured victory in the No-Limit Hold'em tournament #57 for $530 with rebuy and add-on.
GodIsAnAstronaut, known on PokerStars as Vlad_Radimov, shared his strategy and key moments from the tournament. His approach involved playing with a short stack and making crucial decisions in the heads-up phase. GodIsAnAstronaut's first success in the current WCOOP was a 7th place finish in a quick tournament that lasted only four hours. He mentioned that the tournament was skill-based, with players often forced to go all-in with minimal stacks.
One of the key hands GodIsAnAstronaut won was against TLD2008, where he showed a full house against a pair of sixes. Another notable hand was against Pokerl)eviL, where he won with a straight flush from Three to Seven. GodIsAnAstronaut also secured a victory with a four of a kind hand against torowe, showing four tens. His opponent in the heads-up phase was James Obst, who was the chip leader for most of the tournament. GodIsAnAstronaut's strategy and key decisions led him to victory in the Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo tournament.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
