Veerab Zakarian Wins WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Title
Veerab Zakarian won the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open title and $674,840. The final table, which was delayed due to the global coronavirus pandemic, was held in the PokerGO Studio instead of the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas. The event started with 1290 runners in Atlantic City last January.
The final table included notable players such as Brian Altman, Nathan Russler, James Anderson, Bin Weng, and Andrew Hanna. Andrew Hanna was the first to be eliminated, followed by Bin Weng, Nathan Russler, and Brian Altman. James Anderson was the runner-up in the final table.
Veerab Zakarian's victory was a significant achievement, as he more than doubled his lifetime tournament earnings with this win. The WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open was a challenging event, but Zakarian's skill and determination paid off in the end.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
