Ukrainian Poker Pro Valentin Shabelnik Wins WSOP Circuit Online Event
In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Ukrainian poker player Valentin Shabelnik won the WSOP Circuit online tournament. The event, which had a guarantee of $30,000, collected 435 entries at $300 each, resulting in a prize pool of $79,000 and a bounty fund of $43,500.
Shabelnik's victory was particularly impressive given the competition he faced. In the heads-up final, he defeated the renowned Anthony Zinno, who has won around $10,000,000 in live tournaments. Despite the significant difference in career earnings—Shabelnik has won around $458,000 in live tournaments—the Ukrainian player emerged triumphant.
For his win, Shabelnik received $19,396 and a $700 bounty, along with the prestigious WSOP Circuit championship ring. The event saw 75 players make it to the in-the-money zone, highlighting the intense competition Shabelnik had to overcome to claim his victory.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
