Steve, a PokerStars manager, confirmed that 200 employees were sent home during the raid. He assured that PokerStars continues to operate normally and that employees would return to their workplaces shortly. The raid on PokerStars' office lasted no more than two hours, and the main office of PokerStars, located on the Isle of Man, was not affected.

Police also visited the home of Scott Tom, one of the owners of Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet, but found no one there. Tom had recently left the country, leaving the authorities unable to locate him.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
