Ukrainian Poker Player Wins First Gold Bracelet at WSOP 2020
Ukrainian poker player Dmitry Bystrovzorov made history by winning the first gold bracelet for Ukraine at the WSOP 2020. He secured $228,000 and the prestigious gold bracelet in the WSOP#65 tournament with a buy-in of $600 and a field of 2,911 entries.
The tournament had a prize pool of $1,659,000 and a gold bracelet for the first place. The event featured a deep stack format, allowing players to showcase their skills without rushing. The final table included nine players, each with a chance to become the champion.
Dmitry Bystrovzorov had around 20 big blinds in his stack at the final table. He eliminated Giovanni Torre from the tournament and became the chip leader after a key hand against Christopher Putz. In the final hand, Florian Gaguich went all-in with pocket queens, but Bystrovzorov's Ace-seven held up, securing his victory.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
