Ukrainian Poker Players Share Their Micro Limit Strategies
Majkdern, a Kyiv-based poker player, has set an ambitious goal for November 2015. On November 1, he announced a marathon with the aim of becoming the most disciplined NL20-30 player of the month. His main working limits, as mentioned in his October report, are NL25 and NL30. Majkdern plans to dedicate one hour a day to theory and seven hours to playing with breaks, focusing on minimizing losses from past mistakes.
In addition to his poker endeavors, Majkdern has a unique hobby: tattooing. He recently completed one sleeve and plans to start on another. His love for competitive gaming is evident in his recent victory in a student CS:GO championship. Majkdern's team won the grand final, which took place at the Cyber Arena, and he received various prizes, including a mouse from Roccat.
Another notable Kyiv player is CorbenD7, who started an 'Anti-Crisis Blog' in April 2015. CorbenD7, whose real name is Andrey, used to work in sales but now plays poker from home. Despite the challenges of micro limits, CorbenD7 finds that the current exchange rate allows him to live comfortably with his earnings. He shares his experiences and insights in his blog, including posts about the challenges of rakeback and the psychological state of professional grinders.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
