UKGC Settles with Rank Group Operators Over Land-Based RG Failures
The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has reached a seven-figure settlement with three operators owned by Rank Group PLC. The settlement amount is £5 million. The operators involved are Grosvenor Casinos Limited, Grosvenor Casinos (GC) Limited and Gaming Group Limited, which run 51 casinos across Great Britain. The operators will undergo an independent third-party audit to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering and safer gambling policies.
The UKGC identified several breaches of existing anti-money laundering obligations. These breaches include failure to update AML policies to account for changes to the Money Laundering Regulations in 2020. The operators failed to carry out interactions with a customer who lost £50,000 during a period. Another customer who won £260,000 in a short period and lost £250,000 over 12 days had no record of safer gambling interactions. The company did not carry out safer gambling interactions with a customer who was returning after a period of self-exclusion, until they had lost £25,000.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
