Triton Million: The Most Expensive Poker Tournament in History
The Triton Million tournament, with a buy-in of £1.05 million, is set to be the most expensive poker tournament ever. The event will feature a mix of professional and amateur players, with amateurs making up half of the participants. The tournament will be broadcast live with open cards, starting from the first day and continuing until the end. The tournament will have five English-speaking commentators: Nick Schulman, Ali Nejad, Randy Lew, Lex Veldhuis, and Jeff Gross.
The tournament will have a freezeout format, with stacks set immediately and late registration open only during the first level. Participants who spend more than £300,000 on buy-ins will receive free accommodation at the Hilton hotel.
The tournament will have a mix of professional and amateur players, with amateurs making up half of the participants. The first 6 levels will be played separately, then combined with an equal number of professionals and amateurs at each table. From the second day, the draw will be completely random.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
