Documentary Film Chronicles Life of Legendary Norwegian Poker Player Tor Hansen
Tor Hansen, a renowned Norwegian poker player, passed away two years ago. Tor began his poker career in the 1980s and played his last tournament in 2018. Throughout his career, Hansen won 2 WSOP bracelets and numerous other tournament victories worldwide.
Tor Hansen earned $3 million from live tournaments alone, not including his cash game winnings. Hansen was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and was given only six months to live. However, he fought his illness for eight years and continued to participate in poker tournaments.
A Norwegian film crew made a documentary about Tor Hansen's life, titled "Улыбка". Tor Hansen's wife, Marcele, played a central role in the documentary, supporting her husband throughout his battle with cancer.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
