Tony G Triumphs at MPP High Roller, Wins $257,500 in North Cyprus
Antanas Guoga, known as Tony G, won the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party (MPP) $10k High Roller, earning $257,500. The tournament took place at the Merit Royal casino in North Cyprus with 149 entries.
The event featured a star-studded lineup, with notable players such as Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Patrik Antonius, Phil Nagy, and Ebony Kenney all falling before the money. Guoga finished off Vladislav Ivanov with a rivered full house, securing his place among the finalists.
The final table included some of the biggest names in high-stakes poker, with Stephen Chidwick, Kahle Burns, Danny Tang, Alex Peffly, and Andrea Ricci all vying for the top spot. Guoga and Peffly agreed to a heads-up deal, reducing the $100k difference between first and second place to just $10k, with Guoga ultimately taking the win.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
