Tom Dwan on Full Tilt Poker's Financial Troubles and His Role

Tom Dwan, a prominent poker player, recently shared his insights on the financial troubles of Full Tilt Poker. Initially, Dwan believed that Full Tilt had all the players' money and that issues with the U.S. Department of Justice would be resolved quickly.

Dwan communicated with poker friends who assured him that Full Tilt had the money and there would be no problems with payouts. He sent an SMS to Ray Bitar asking if he could guarantee to pay $1,000,000 from his own funds, but Bitar assured him that Full Tilt had the necessary means.

Dwan announced on Twitter that he would pay $1,000,000 if the players' money was not returned, intending this for both Full Tilt and PokerStars. He owed money to Full Tilt, slightly less than what he was paid, and intended to return it once the situation changed. Dwan mentioned that other players also owed money to Full Tilt and he was willing to vouch for them.
