Tobias Peters Wins WSOP Bracelet After 11 Years of Waiting

Tobias Peters, a veteran poker player, has finally achieved his lifelong goal of winning a World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet. After 11 years of near misses, Peters triumphed in WSOP Europe Event #7: €1,650 NL Hold’em 6-max, securing a payday of €143,100.

The one-day event concluded around 6am the following morning, with Peters emerging victorious from a field of 495 entries. Barny Boatman, a notable figure in the poker community, was defeated in the final hand.

In a post-victory interview, Peters revealed that he was more focused on winning the bracelet than the prize money. He mentioned that he had finished in almost every spot on the final table in WSOP tournaments but had never won a bracelet until now. The top three finishers, including Peters, also won an entry ticket for the 2023 WSOP Europe Main Event.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
