Three Spanish Players Win Prizes at WPT National Marbella
The WPT National Marbella tournament kicked off with 122 players, with the field drastically reducing throughout the day. Three Spanish players managed to secure prizes by finishing in the top 36.
Jesús Martínez, known as J2m_69, was the furthest Spanish player to advance in the tournament, finishing in 22nd place with a prize of 1.250€. Nacho Gómez, or Nachinken, was the leader of the Spanish players at the start of the day but finished in 24th place with a prize of 1.250€. Casariego finished in 30th place with a prize of 1.000€.
Several other Spanish players, including Juan Pardo Malakagrinde, X_Kisho_X, and David Merino lacasito, were eliminated earlier in the tournament. Malakagrinde was eliminated in the first hand with KK against AQ, while X_Kisho_X was eliminated with AA against KJ, which hit trips on the flop. David Merino lacasito managed to double up and continue playing until just before dinner.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
