Thomas Kremser: The Legendary Tournament Director on Poker and Russia
Thomas Kremser has been a prominent figure in the poker world for nearly two decades, overseeing events from London to Singapore. His extensive experience includes managing all stages of the European Poker Tour since 2004 and collaborating with Matt Savage to address controversial tournament situations on the HendonMob website.
Kremser's first visit to Russia was in January 2006, where he helped organize poker tournaments. He was the tournament director for the initial stages of the Russian Poker Tour in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Despite the challenges of obtaining a Russian visa, Kremser has fond memories of his time in Russia and appreciates the respect and acceptance he received from Russian players.
Kremser's journey to becoming a tournament director began when he dropped out of medical school and started working as a croupier in a casino. He is 45 years old and continues to be a key figure in the poker community, with his company TK Poker Events resuming collaboration with the Russian Poker Tour for the Grand Final in Kyiv.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
