Spanish Poker Pros Shine in International Tournaments
Spanish poker players have been making significant strides in international tournaments, showcasing their skills and determination. Mario Sánchez, known as “losttoriver” on PokerStars.com, made it to the final table of the 109$+R Sunday Rebuy and secured a win of 4,705$.
Another notable performance came from Andoni Larrabe, or “Pollopopeye,” who finished 7th in the Sunday 2nd Chance on PokerStars.com, adding 8,224$ to his impressive list of earnings.
In the Mega Poker Series Croatian Open, Samuel Bernabéu repeated his victory by winning the tournament, earning 39,000€. This is a remarkable achievement, as he had previously won the Madrid edition of the same series just two months prior. The tournament saw 284 players, with Bernabéu dominating the heads-up against Christer Lagerstrom.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
