Spain Revokes Gambling Advertising Restrictions
The Spanish government has revoked the article 37 of the Royal Decree-Law 11/2020 which restricted gambling advertising, bonuses, and promotions. The derogation was published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on June 10, 2020.
The decision was made by the Dirección General del Juego, led by Mikel Arana. The restrictions had been in place since late March 2020, but with the majority of Spain entering phase 3 of the de-escalation and the return of football, the government has decided to lift these restrictions.
This means that gambling advertising on television and radio, sports sponsorships, and player loyalty rewards (rakeback) will be allowed once again. The derogation will take effect from June 11, 2020.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
