Sochi Casino and Resort: How to Get There and Where to Stay
The Sochi Casino and Resort opened in early 2017 in Krasnaya Polyana, 40 kilometers from Sochi. Krasnaya Polyana is part of the mountain cluster of the Greater Sochi area, known for its unique climate and biodiversity.
Three ski resorts operate in Krasnaya Polyana: Rosa Khutor, Gazprom, and Gorki Gorod. The casino is located in the reconstructed building of the Media Center of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games in Gorki Gorod. The Sochi Casino and Resort offers a variety of accommodations, including hotels at two levels: +540 and +960 meters above sea level. The most convenient hotel for poker players is the five-star Sochi Marriott Krasnaya Polyana, located near the casino.
Krasnaya Polyana is connected to Sochi by two roads and one railway, with the most popular public transport being the Lastochka train. The Lastochka train runs from Sochi station or directly from the airport to the Est-Sadok station, taking about 1 hour and 20 minutes or 40 minutes respectively. The cost of the Lastochka train ticket is usually around 350-400 ₽.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
