Mastering Six-Card Omaha: Top Strategies and Starting Hands
The strongest starting hand in six-card Omaha is the one that blocks the opponent from having aces. The hand with the highest equity against the top 10% of hands is 64%. The hand with the highest equity against the top 5% of hands is 60%. The hand with the highest equity against the top 2% of hands is 46%. The hand with the highest equity against weak aces is 57%.
The optimal 3-bet range without position will be much narrower in six-card Omaha than in classic Omaha. In six-card Omaha, the equity on the flop is not as strongly correlated with pre-flop equity as in 5 or 4 card Omaha. In six-card Omaha, you will rarely have a hand with 60% equity against an opponent with a 25% range.
In six-card Omaha, you will get a two-suited hand 79.5% of the time. In six-card Omaha, you will get a three-suited hand 9.3% of the time.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
