PLO Calculator (Pot-Limit Omaha Equity)
Enter the Omaha hands and, if you like, the flop, turn or river. The calculator shows each player's chance to win, tie and total equity, using the rule that you must use exactly two hole cards and three board cards. Choose normal Omaha with four cards or 5-card Omaha. Everything runs in your browser.
Hands
Four cards such as AsKsQhJh (five in 5-card mode): rank (2-9, T, J, Q, K, A) then suit (s, h, d, c). Leave a seat empty for a random hand. Ranges are not available in Omaha.
0, 3, 4 or 5 cards, for example Qc 7h 2s.
Equity
Calculating…
High hand only (no Hi-Lo). Equity counts a tie as a share of the pot. Pre-flop and against a random hand the result is a simulation.

How the PLO calculator works
In Omaha every player uses exactly two of the hole cards and exactly three of the five board cards. With four hole cards that gives 6 two-card combinations and 10 board combinations, so 60 possible five-card hands per player; with five hole cards it is 10 × 10 = 100. The calculator picks the best of them for every player on every board it considers and compares the results.
When the number of possible boards is small, for example from the flop onward against known hands, it checks every board and the result is exact. Before the flop or against a random hand there are too many combinations, so it deals many random boards and shows an estimate with its margin of error.
Equity is the share of the pot a hand wins on average if all remaining board cards are dealt and nobody folds. A win counts as 1 and a tie between k players as 1 ÷ k. Remember that equity runs much closer in Omaha than in Hold'em, so a pot-limit decision also depends on position and on how many nut draws each hand has.
Worked example
A♠ A♦ K♠ K♦ against J♥ T♥ 9♦ 8♦ on a flop of Q♣ 7♥ 2♠. The pair of aces and kings is a favourite with 80.9% against the connected double-suited hand, which has 19.1% from its straight and flush draws. Add the turn 5♣ and the aces and kings rise to 90.0%.
Before the flop the same A♠ A♦ K♠ K♦ wins about 70.7% against a random four-card hand, far less than pocket aces in Hold'em, which win about 85% against a random hand. In 5-card Omaha, A♠ A♦ K♠ K♦ Q♥ against 9♥ 8♥ 7♦ 6♦ T♣ on J♣ 4♠ 2♥ has 75.3%.
Questions and answers
What is a PLO calculator?
A tool that calculates the chance each Pot-Limit Omaha hand has to win a pot, taking into account the rule that exactly two hole cards and three board cards must be used.
Does it support 5-card PLO?
Yes. Switch the game to 5-card Omaha, enter five cards per player and the rule at showdown stays the same.
Why is the result different from a Hold'em calculator?
In Hold'em you can use any five of your seven cards, in Omaha you must use exactly two of your hole cards and three of the board. A pair on the board or four suited board cards is worth much less in Omaha.
Can I enter a range or play Hi-Lo?
Not yet. This calculator works with exact hands or a random hand and calculates the high hand only. For the rules of Omaha Hi-Lo see the Omaha guide.
