The D Casino & Hotel hosted the last remaining coin-operated Sigma Derby machine. The classic coin-operated racing game features mechanical steeds. Players make their selections and watch the horses race around the glass-enclosed track. The D Casino & Hotel held a parade through downtown Las Vegas to move the machine to the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino.
Casino employees paraded the machine down Fremont Street, accompanied by a host of Shetland ponies and “jockeys.” The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino is a vintage property that dates back to 1906 and is the oldest casino in Las Vegas. Derek Stevens owns both The D and Golden Gate Casino. He also owns and operates the Circa Resort & Casino. Sigma Derby was introduced in 1985 by Japanese manufacturer Sigma Game Inc.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
