Shaun Deeb Secures Fifth WSOP Gold Bracelet in $25k PLO High Roller
Shaun Deeb won his fifth WSOP gold bracelet in the $25k PLO High Roller event, earning $1,251,860. The 35-year-old pro from Troy, New York, defeated 212 entries in a prizepool that exceeded $5 million. Other notable players in the field included Chance Kornuth, Joseph Cheong, Scott Seiver, and Joao Vieira. David Benyamine and Ben Lamb were among the final eight players, but both fell before the end of day three.
Deeb's double-aced hand saw off Benyamine and he produced them again to double-up on the very first hand of the final day. Veselin Karakitukov took home more than $250k for his 5th place finish. Maxx Coleman finished in 4th spot for just over $380k. John Beauprez finished in 3rd place and a very healthy $537,295 payday when Deeb’s nut straight outgunned his wheel. That left Deeb heads-up against Ka Kwan Lau for the title and he finished things off in the following hand.
Ka Kwan Lau finished in 2nd place with $773,708. Deeb told PokerGO reporters afterwards that he is going to pass Phil Hellmuth’s WSOP gold bracelet record eventually.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
